Kingston Arts Residency
“This work is my interpretation of Australia, its diversity and the many cultures that make up this country. I wanted to create something full of colour, incorporating my own fused glass to bring the work to life.
I made this piece at the end of my residency with Kingston Arts and Craft Victoria. Another artist and I were the first recipients of the Magnify residency, which made the experience especially rewarding as I stepped out into the glass world on my own.
The residency taught me so much about myself and my art. I had the opportunity to teach workshops, share my glassmaking skills and meet members of the local community who were keen to learn and create. I really enjoyed bringing people together and sharing my love for what I do.
It was a wonderful experience, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity. It was a time of learning and growth, something I'll always look back on fondly. My Beautiful Australia is now part of the Kingston Arts collection.”
