Reading Between the Lines

This project was one of Shea's favourite pieces to put together. The prompt, 'How can we live together?', offered the opportunity to create a work that brought together many of the things that matter most to the artist.

Shea set out to explore peace and connection, and the way community and storytelling can hold people together. It became a chance to draw different parts of identity and artistic practice into one work, and to show that all living things share the same beauty and are connected, which is why we must cherish the planet we have.

The title speaks to the act of reading between the lines: looking beyond the surface to see the spirit within everything around us.
